Having set an ambitious target to become water-positive by 2030, the client wanted to reduce unnecessary use of high-quality water supplies across their estate. Rainwater Harvesting was central to achieving this goal through the provision of a secondary sustainable water supply for their portfolio of distribution centres.
The client’s distribution centres were well suited to rainwater harvesting with a large roof area to harvest water and a high daily water demand for staff working within. Stormsaver was able to supply our pressurised rainwater harvesting system which is ideal for the limited amount of space for equipment in the plant room. The client also wanted to take advantage of our automatic backwash filter to reduce maintenance requirements by removing the need for physical filter replacements.
Stormsaver has also provided maintenance services to the site to help prolong the system’s lifespan and ensure continued water savings can be made. Our latest service visit highlighted that the system had captured and recycled 3 million litres of water per year.
