Panattoni Park, East Sussex
Having set an ambitious target to become net zero by 2025, the developer aimed to ensure water conservation was at the core of their latest development. The development, designed with eight office and distribution hubs, was designed to meet BREEAM Excellent specifications.
Naturally, the client trusted Stormsaver to meet their sustainability goals. Our team of experts worked closely with the design team to size and specify eight high-quality rainwater harvesting systems for the collection of rainwater from the roof to provide a sustainable water supply for toilet flushing and external taps.
Our team was able to offer sizing assistance according to the detailed approach within the British Standard. Our unique calculator was able to effectively reduce the main storage tank size whilst retaining an 84% efficiency rating. That means the system has been designed to be reliant on rainwater to meet 80% of the total non-potable water demand.
