I have been with Stormsaver since 2008. I started at the company as a commissioning engineer when it was a lot smaller and I have helped the business grow, I became a director in 2010. I am particularly proud of the team we have around us which helps to make running the company a lot easier.
What is the part of your job that you enjoy the most?
I enjoy the technical design side of my role, so problem solving and removing potential issues. I also like to go to sales and design meetings and get to meet our customers face to face. This helps us to build up good relationships so that people come back to us again and again.
What is your favourite water saving tip?
Did you know that a leaking toilet or urinal can waste up to 400L of water per day!! It is a good idea to check for leaking systems on a regular basis and rectify them as quick as possible.
What is it about rainwater harvesting that excites you?
We are always trying to develop the best and most efficient systems that we can. It is important that we look after our water resources and using rainwater to flush the toilet or wash your clothes is a great start. It is a free resource that falls from the sky so it makes sense to utilise it when we can.
Thought for the day?
No matter how bad you feel today, remember there are people in the world that do not even have a clean drinking water supply, so the next time that you fill up the kettle from the tap just have a thought for those people that have to walk for miles each day just to get their water.
