Stormsaver announces attendance at United Utilities Housing Developer Day
Here at Stormsaver, we are proud to announce that we will be attending this year's United Utilities Developer Day on the 9th of October 2024. As the UK’s leading specialists in water reuse, we are looking forward to sharing our experiences of communal rainwater harvesting systems with industry stakeholders.
Earlier this year, the Future Homes Hub launched their “roadmap for water efficient homes” which aimed to address the problem of water scarcity and the need to build more homes in the UK. The influential report calls on the government to seriously consider communal-wide water reuse systems to address our water challenges and reduce the likelihood of stormwater overflows.
At this year’s United Utilities Developer Day, we are giving the opportunity for developers to get ahead of the curve and learn more about these vital communal-wide systems, including offering design advice, speaking about the maintenance requirements, and sharing common mistakes to avoid, before legislation mandates the use of reuse systems nationally.
Most importantly, our team will be sharing the benefits of communal systems for you as a housing developer, including…
- No internal controls within homes.
- No homeowner maintenance headaches.
- One system to install, reducing costs for you on site.
- The opportunity to reduce the size of your swales and ponds through combining rainwater harvesting and attenuation.
These are just a few of the benefits our team will be talking through on the day!
Representing Stormsaver at the event will be our very own water reuse specialists, Georgia Darby, Matt Hull, and Guy Ellerton. Our friendly team will be available throughout the event to answer any questions about all things rainwater harvesting! If you are planning on attending, be sure to speak to them.
We are proud to be involved in the ongoing conversation around communal-wide water reuse schemes and are looking forward to linking up with fellow professionals and helping shape the future of the housing sector.
If you cannot join us at the event, don’t worry, you can still learn about communal rainwater harvesting here.
