Your responsibility is to support the field service engineers to complete jobs on time, to the highest quality standards and to ensure all water reuse systems in our care operate efficiently to deliver optimum savings for the client. Your work will help to promote Stormsaver and its activities to potential and existing clients, creating new opportunities, strengthening relationships and kickstarting continued business growth.


Your activities will uphold our reputation with our clients and keep water reuse and its benefits, in the forefront of the sustainability agenda and be crucial to our goal of water reuse becoming the “norm” in all buildings in the UK. If the systems work well, people will want more of them and the industry will grow. Your role is crucial to us achieving our vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • This is a unique type of product and full training will be given for you to gain knowledge to succeed.
  • Work alongside an experienced engineer learning and developing new skills on a daily basis. Provide the highest quality maintenance services for all brands of rainwater harvesting products (Stormsaver and others). Components include all types of filters, UV disinfection equipment, control equipment, electrical controls, tanks, pumps and valves. You will be using multiple mechanical, plumbing and electrical skills.
  • Support our Field Service Engineering team to maintain, to a high standard, a range of rainwater reuse systems, including systems supplied by Stormsaver and by others.
  • Assist the engineer to carry out remedial works and repairs to the highest standard. Follow their lead and provide assistance in any way required.
  • Provide whatever support is required for our team of field service engineers. This could include (but is not restricted to) maintenance tasks, driving, paperwork, fetching and carrying. Your job is to ensure their time can be spent on more technical areas of the work required.
  • Know how to Amp Load test and how to safely isolate the electrical supply.
  • Know how to safely operate a mapress gun and install mapress fittings.
  • Understand the requirements of WRAS and the British Standard BS EN16941.
  • Work to meet your individual and team KPI’s in terms work quality, timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver the highest levels of customer service in everything that you do and understand that you are representing Stormsaver to the general public at all times both on site and when travelling to and from site.
  • Always abide by and adhere to the RAMS provided and general health and safety requirements on site.

Skills

You will need to have; 

  • An interest or knowledge of electrics, pumps and control systems.
  • Computer literate with experience of the basic Microsoft packages.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety at a work.
  • Eagerness for training and be happy to work towards CSCS, working at heights and working in confined spaces qualifications, if not already achieved.
  • A team player
  • Enthusiastic and hardworking attitude.
  • Ability to think on your feet and be self motivated.
  • Flexibility to travel around the UK and stay away from home up to 3 nights a week with hotels and food budget.
  • Organised and methodical, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and confident telephone manner.
  • Full UK driving licence

Experience 

Whilst not essential, it would be an advantage to:

  • Have worked within the construction industry, water industry or similar field 
  • Experience using a handheld CRM system
