Net Zero Fast Food Restaurant, Shropshire
After completing a trial of rainwater harvesting technologies within several of their American restaurants, this leading fast-food client wanted to implement the technologies in their new location in the UK. The client had also set themselves ambitious water stewardship targets across their restaurants and office portfolio.
Naturally, Stormsaver was on hand to meet their bespoke requirements. Their newest location was set to be their first-ever net-zero location. The site had extremely limited internal and external space for a traditional below-ground storage tank and internal control panel. The restaurant also had a drive-thru lane where pipework could not cross restricting the system to the central island of the site. Stormsaver provided our self-contained StormStation Above Ground System to overcome these site restrictions and provide a sustainable water supply to all eight toilets within the restaurant.
The client was so impressed with the Stormsaver System that they specified a further three locations with a rainwater harvesting system. They also requested a bespoke branded monitoring display for customers to view water and carbon savings made by the rainwater harvesting system. Our in-house product design team worked closely with the client to ensure the branded display met their requirements.
Being so impressed with the service received, the client entrusted Stormsaver with the ongoing maintenance contract for their estate of new systems. On our latest visit to this particular site, our engineer found that the location had saved 90,000 Litres of water in just 1 year since commissioning.
