Stormsaver partner with Stormharvester to bring Active Attenuation systems to market

Active Attenuation Stormsaver, the UK's market leader in rainwater harvesting has set up an exclusive partnership with Stormharvester, designers of a unique weather prediction software.

Stormsaver has been designing and manufacturing rainwater harvesting systems for over 15 years and has installations in a wide variety of buildings, such as schools, universities, distribution centres and retail sites. With a reputation for excellence and reliability, Stormsaver is regularly specified by consultants and are prefered by contractors across the country. With over 1800 commercial systems installed, their systems have saved an estimated 23 million litres of water.

Stormharvester, based in Northern Ireland, has developed an intelligent control system which links civil infrastructure such as valves, pumps and floodgates to a highly accurate short to medium term rainfall-runoff prediction algorithm.

Stormsaver Stormharvester partnershipThe StormHarvester control centre receives site-specific rainfall predictions from various sources including the British Met office. The controller runs this data through an algorithm estimating the likely runoff volume for the upcoming rain events. The site controller then automatically takes action to ensure civil infrastructure is adequately prepared to deal with the predicted runoff.

The two companies have combined their expertise to finally introduce an Active Attenuation solution to the construction industry, enabling attenuation tanks to double up safely as rainwater harvesting storage. With increasingly stricter requirements for attenuating flood control on new build sites, the integrated technologies will generate revenue, reduce mains water consumption and make use of an otherwise redundant tank.
